MEET KITTENS (SHE/THEY)
ARTIST / DJ / PRODUCER / HOST / PHILANTHROPIST
Default is to care about what everyone else thinks, but KITTENS has learned and advised to get
out of your own way. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, a woman of color, and first
generation Iranian-American, Kittens grew up interacting with music, but had to push
boundaries to make it her world. A self-taught DJ, she combined her relentless curiosity with the
influences around her to create music as bold as she is. Kittens knows what it’s like to ditch the
whole idea you have for your life and go down a different path, which is why she has created
platforms to help others do the same.
Kittens has surpassed the boundaries set before her, and has positioned themselves to help
others do the same through PWR - a celebrated series of non-profit DJ workshops for women
and marginalized genders she created – as well as her own podcast “SHE/HER/THEY with
KITTENS” – intended for audiences who transcend identity expectations. Live in the moment
with Kittens and let her show you how to seize it, feel it, and hear it.
Today, Kittens challenges you to say “what if I am good enough” just as I am, and what can I overcome to become the most badass version of me. When you hear her music, you just may hear your calling.
